My currently for January!!

Listening: Better Dig Two by The Band Perry ( My new favorite song, just made a new country playlist and it's amazing!) Song reminds me why I love my future HUBBY o So MUCH)

Loving: Winter Break, doing nothing is a great feeling,don't have to worry about anything! 

Thinking: About student teaching, worried, excited, nervous, anxious, and a million other words!! 

Wanting: My own classroom! I see all these awesome ideas and blog and TPT products and just PURE AWESOMENESS!! (word?) I want my classroom so I can use all these products and ideas!!! 

Needing: Money to buy all these goodies, the future hubby and I need a car and will be buying a house in May, so my shopping spree will be limited till those very large purchases are made! :) Priorities :)

OWL one little word: Enjoy 
I will enjoy my time with the fiance
I will enjoy being happy 
I will enjoy my OWN life .. no one else 
I will enjoy making my OWN decisions.. no one else can make them for me! 


I struggle with people telling me what to do and not listening to what I want in my own life and what makes ME happy! Live life to the fullest right!? :)  Way to bring in the NEW YEAR!

New Year

Hello!!! Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Mine went well! I am excited about what the new year has to bring.  I will be starting my student teaching after break and couldn't be more excited.  Things are starting to seem more "real" and I'm finally getting close to that diploma! Through blogland I have seen SOOO many awesome ideas that I want to use, but can't because I don't have my own classroom yet. Well it's about here and I couldn't be more excited!

I love all the products TPT and blogland has, talk about OVERLOAD! :) I'm so excited to get to purchase and maybe even start my own TPT store. Would you follow? :)

It's the LAW!

ORDER! ORDER in the court (hits gavel). 



So today, I got to do a "mock trail", for all of you saying "what does that mean" well I am in an education law class and today we went to the justice building and mocked an actual trial that happened in real life. The case was about a student that was accused of having prescription drugs in school and the principal basically striped searched her, she is allowed to search her but not to the extend of her having to take of her clothes, ext.  

Any who, now that you got the low down of what the case was about, this got me thinking, if we are allowed to do a mock trail as college students, why not have students, at a much lower level of course, do a simple mock trail. They get to know who is involved in a court case, who the "Baylor" "plaintiff  "jury" all are. HMMM......  :)

I am just starting my classroom library so when my friend told me that the Red Cross has a book fair going on this weekend I WAS THERE!! note: I am not promoting this I just am sharing because I was in love!!! All funds go back to the Red Cross to help with disaster relief.

Grad time!

Hey guys! 

Been a rough week!  Worked a lot at the ticket office and did lots of school work! Today I went and got my picture taken for the yearbook. Whoa! Can't believe I'm a senior and will be graduating soon, then off to my own classroom! I couldn't be more excited though!! Can't wait till I have my own classroom!
  


Subbing tomorrow for my lovely teacher that I will be student teaching for! Can't wait to see the little kidos! :)

Hey guys!! 


Well today I am off to the IU vs. Indiana State game (Go HOOSIERS!), I work in the ticket office! Hopefully we don't catch the rain from Issac but we probably will! 

I have been organizing all my freebies from all of you lovely bloggers. How do you organize your freebies!? I decided to make a folder for each subject area, but thinking of making folders inside of those folders because I just have SO MUCH stuff!! :) O and one of my favorite things is on Friday when I get that freebie from scrappin doodles, LOVE! :) I have a shopping cart full of things I want from them! 

Hoping to go see my classroom again some time soon, miss those little burgers! I can't wait to teach them in the Spring! Hope this semester ZOOOOMS by so I can get my student teaching on in the Spring! :) What were your experiences student teaching? Good, Bad? Didn't even have student teaching?
If you could give one piece of interview advice what would it be? :) now GO! Comment! :) 

Genealogy!

Hey guys, Classes are going crazy right now and are in full force! I am currently working on a paper about my families history. Who knew that genealogy could be so fun. You can find out so much! Most local libraries have ancestry.com and other search options on their computer and get this.. you can use it for FREE! Awesome right!? For my mom's side I have it easy, my great aunt did a entire genealogy so I have that to go off of. My dad's side I don't have much, and I also want to look into my fiancee family too. Whew do I have work to do!

I can't be more excited to get this semester done and over with so I can start my student teaching and get a teaching job! I have been in school since I was 3, so I think it's time for this stuff to be over with right!? :)

Student teaching!

Hey guys! It's been a while, but I have sure been BUSY! I just finished my summer nanny job today, and I am going to miss those sweet boys! There are twin two year old boys and are the cutest things ever!

Well I start my "first" teacher day tomorrow for student teaching. I don't officially start student teaching until Spring, but I get to go the first teacher days and the first 3 student days to see how everything works! Cool huh!? I made a cute name tag for myself and everything! :) What do your first days look like? Cazyness!? lol.

Since it is summer, I have this obsession with the TV show One Tree Hill, I have seasons 1-6 on  DVD and have been watching them all summer! I know it is just a TV show but wow its a great one! :) Thought I would share some of my favorite quotes from the show:

I really really want that Canon camera, fiancee says we are saving for house, cars, ext..He's totally right but I can't stop thinking about the amazing pics I could be taking!! :) 

Here in Indiana we haven't had rain in so long, had a few storms last week but didn't last long. My flowers and plants NEED it BADLY!!!! Tomorrow it will be 110 degrees!! YIKES!! 

I not a teacher yet so have no idea what my go to book is for a children's book! In one of my classes we watched a video of Harry Wong speaking and he is a funny guy with lots of good first year teaching ideas!

What to do!

 I have a year till I graduate, and couldn't be more excited about moving and starting a new life. My fiancées parents, sister and niece live in Morristown, TN (Any teachers out there in blog land who teach in TN?), well we really want to move south and get the heck away from Indiana SNOW! We looked on the Hamblen County department of education website and they have jobs open for an elementary teacher, this was a huge bummer because I can't teach for another year! What is everyones advice for applying? When do you apply?
