Units

Hey guys!

Getting more things to teach as my student teaching is getting farther along. I have second graders  I am now teaching Science, Math, and 2 big units.  The big units are the Iditarod, which I think I'm going to talk about Alaska also. The other unit is about Global Awareness, the teachers got a grant from our city to buy books and fund a field trip for this one, we got three books If the World Were a Village, A Life Like Mine and Material World: A Global Family Portrait

For the Iditarod unit the second grade team is inviting a speaker from the community who used to be a teacher at this school and did the Iditarod Teacher on the Trail Program. She wrote the book The Double Life of an Alaskan Sled Dog. She is amazing!!  She is coming in to do a presentation,every Tuesday in February and then in our individual classrooms we will also be teaching it.

First project!!!

My first student teaching project!!! You like? I will post on TPT when I figure all that out, haven't set up an account and everything, and I want to make sure I give credit where do!! LOVE LOVE LOVE scrappin doodles.. but who doesn't right!?

This goes along with the 2nd grade FOSS curriculum for Science!

Currently

My currently for January!!

Listening: Better Dig Two by The Band Perry ( My new favorite song, just made a new country playlist and it's amazing!) Song reminds me why I love my future HUBBY o So MUCH)

Loving: Winter Break, doing nothing is a great feeling,don't have to worry about anything! 

Thinking: About student teaching, worried, excited, nervous, anxious, and a million other words!! 

Wanting: My own classroom! I see all these awesome ideas and blog and TPT products and just PURE AWESOMENESS!! (word?) I want my classroom so I can use all these products and ideas!!! 

Needing: Money to buy all these goodies, the future hubby and I need a car and will be buying a house in May, so my shopping spree will be limited till those very large purchases are made! :) Priorities :)

OWL one little word: Enjoy 
I will enjoy my time with the fiance
I will enjoy being happy 
I will enjoy my OWN life .. no one else 
I will enjoy making my OWN decisions.. no one else can make them for me! 


I struggle with people telling me what to do and not listening to what I want in my own life and what makes ME happy! Live life to the fullest right!? :)  Way to bring in the NEW YEAR!

New Year

Hello!!! Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Mine went well! I am excited about what the new year has to bring.  I will be starting my student teaching after break and couldn't be more excited.  Things are starting to seem more "real" and I'm finally getting close to that diploma! Through blogland I have seen SOOO many awesome ideas that I want to use, but can't because I don't have my own classroom yet. Well it's about here and I couldn't be more excited!

I love all the products TPT and blogland has, talk about OVERLOAD! :) I'm so excited to get to purchase and maybe even start my own TPT store. Would you follow? :)
